Papaya Trees
Papaya carica
Papaya trees are perhaps the easiest tropical fruit trees to grow in the Inland Empire. They are prolific producers and usually survive moderate frost damage. Papayas grow best in multiple plantings to ensure cross pollination. They are cold tender so please make sure to protect them from frost. The varieties we offer include Brazilian, Mexican, Red Lady, Solo and Strawberry.
