Instead, focus on these care tips from the #MonroviaPlants blog:🌱 Lightly fertilize in early spring before growth emerges. Be sure to follow package directions to avoid overfertilizing and encouraging more foliage than flowers.💦 Water after fertilizing, more often in the first year, and anytime there is less than an inch per week of natural rainfall. After five years of growth, your plant will be more drought-resistant.✂ If you do need to prune for size or to remove damage, avoid doing so in late fall.
