Prime-Ark Freedom Blackberry is the world’s first thornless, primocane fruiting blackberry. Berries on floricanes (second year canes) ripen in early July. New canes (primocanes) begin fruiting mid-August if summer heat is not excessive. This variety is intended for local market and home use. Excellent disease resistance and great heat and humidity tolerance. Upright growth habit but may require some support.
