Lychee Trees
Lychee trees are native to China. The pulp is aromatic, sweet to sub-acid, separates easily from the seed and outer shell. The fruit is usually eaten fresh but can also be canned or dried and more importantly in cocktails! Lychees prefer well drained slightly acidic soil, regular watering and a sunny location. Protection from freezing winter temperatures is also required.
